Bangladesh Sends Condolence Message
Prime minister of People’s Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina sends a message of condolence on behalf of government and people of Bangladesh on the demise of former prime minister and president of Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala.
According to a press release issued by Embassy of Bangladesh, prime minister Hasina said, “We have learnt to our great shock and profound sorrow of the sad and unexpected demise of Sushil Koirala, former Prime Minister of Nepal and serving President of Nepali Congress.”
“I pay my deep respect to late Sushil Koirala who was a senior statesman and a popular leader of Nepal. He steered the country at a critical period of its history when the nation was in the final stages of the process of Constitution writing. He also displayed steadfast leadership and great skill in guiding the country during the challenging period after the Great Earthquake of April 2015. His demise will be a loss not only for Nepal but for South Asian region as a whole.
“We, in Bangladesh, will never forget the courageous and selfless role played by him during our glorious War of Liberation. Bangladesh was proud to honour him as a “Friend of Bangladesh” in recognition and appreciation of his role at that crucial juncture of our history. He earned the love and respect of the people and political leadership of Bangladesh. We will surely miss his presence as a pre-eminent leader of the region,” said Hasina, prime minister of Bangladesh, on her message.
Japan Sends a Condolence Message
Embassy of Japan sends a message of Condolence on demise of former prime minister and president of Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala. In its message, Japanese ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa said on behalf of the government of Japan and Japanese people, I wish to express my deepest sympathy and most sincere condolence to his honor and to all members of the bereaved family.
“Honorable Koirla had made a historic contribution to democratization of Nepal and took the leadership of promulgating new constitution of Nepal in September 2015,” reads condolence message.
EU sends A condolence Message
European Union also sends a condolence message on demise of former prime minister and President of Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala. In its message, EU ambassador to Nepal Rensje Teerink said Nepal has lost an honest and dedicated statesman , who through his determination thoughtfulness steered the nation out of a long period of political Uncertainty.
“He was our good friend and well wisher with a clear understanding of the role of bilateralism in promoting external diplomatic ties to ensure Nepal’s well being,” reads the message
France Issues A Condolence Note
Embassy of France issued a statement expressing sadness over the passing away of former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala. According to a press release issued by Embassy of France, this embassy extends its sincere condolence to his well respected family members and to the Nepali people.
Israel Sends Condolence Message
Embassy of Israel sends a condolence message on demise of former prime minister and president of Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala. According to a press release issued by Nepali Congress, Israel Embassy sends the message of condolence to acting president of party Ram Chandra Paudel.
In its message Israel said his contribution to the country especially promulgation of constitution under his rightful leadership will always be remembered.
