The new French Ambassador to Nepal Yves CARMONA, presented his credentials to President of Nepal Bidhya Bhndari at an official ceremony organized at the Office of the President.

 According to a press release issued by French Embassy, on the occasion, Ambassador CARMONA said, “ It is an honor for me to be the French Ambassador to Nepal and I look forward to working with the Nepalese government in advancing Franco-Nepalese relationship to a higher level.“

Biography of the Ambassador Carmona

 Before arriving in Nepal, Ambassador CARMONA was the Ambassador of France to Lao from September 2012 until September 2015.  He has served as a Counselor in Singapore and in Tokyo.

Ambassador CARMONA has also served in the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Education.

 He has also taught in the French National School for Administration (ENA) as well as in the Institute for Political Studies in Paris.

 He speaks Japanese and is a recipient of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (France), Friendship Medal (Lao) and Order of the Rising Sun (Japan).
