Bangladesh Minister Calls for Hydropower Development

Minister for Information Bangladesh Hasanul Haq Inu said that Bangladesh is ready to invest in hydropower development in Nepal

Minister for Information Bangladesh Hasanul Haq Inu said that Bangladesh is ready to invest in hydropower development in Nepal. Replying the queries of media person, Bangladesh’s minister Inu said that the four countries Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal need to work together to develop water resources of Brahmaputram, Meghna and Ganga rivers.

“Only through the use of water resources, we will be able to address the poverty effectively,” said Minister Inu. Minister shared share his views and opinions with the media about the existing bilateral relations between two countries.

During his visit, Minister Inu also paid a courtesy call on Prime minister K.P.Sharma Oli at Prime Minister’s Residence. During his meeting with Nepalese prime minister Oli, the discussed about the existing bilateral relations between two countries.

According to a press release issued by Embassy of Bangladesh, he visited Kathmandu on the invitation extended to him by Nepali Congress to attend the "13th National General Convention" of Nepali Congress.

According to a press release issued by Embassy of Bangladesh, Minister Inu also paid a courtesy call on his counterpart Minister for Information and Communication Technology of Nepal Sherdhan Rai.
