A meeting of the Joint Committee for Labor issues between the State of Qatar and Nepal has been concluded here in Kathmandu on 2nd March 2016.
The meeting which discussed and reviewed a number of issues of mutual cooperation on the area of labor and workers and ways to enhance them for the interest and benefit of the two countries, was a follow-up to Doha meeting held in June 2013.
The meeting was attended, from the Qatari side, by Brigadier- General Mohamed Ahmed Al Ateeq; Deputy Director General of Passports and Expatriates Affairs; Ministry of Interior, Ahmed Jassim Al Hamar; Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nepal, Ibrahim Abdullah Al Duhaimi, Head of the Permanent Committee for Recruitment, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and Fawaz Al Rais; Director of the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
From the Nepali side Govinda Mani Bhurtel, Joint secretary at the Ministry of Labor and employment, and other officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs.
The Qatari Delegation also held separate meetings with Deepak Bohara, Minister of Labor and Employment, and Nepal Foreign Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi.
