Dr Jovan Ilic, Country Director of British Council Nepal, and Khagaraj Baral, Director General of Department of Education and jointly launched the book at an event held on March 21.

The book, which includes 18 chapters, provides practical ideas that can be used by teachers in their English language classrooms. The book will be used from primary to secondary levels. Edited by English language trainers Alan Maley and Nik Peachey, it is a collection of articles on different aspects of creativity required while teaching English language.

Learning English language has been one of the major challenges for school children of Nepal. And teaching English is also not an easy endeavor for the teachers in Nepal. British Council has come up with a new book Creativity In The English Language Classroom to address this problem of teachers and students,

“The book will help teachers make the teaching-learning process enjoyable in the classrooms. It also enhances creativity in the English language classroom,” Dr Ilic stated after the launch of the book.

“British Council has been providing all kinds of necessary support to improve the quality of teaching and learning English language more enjoyable. This book will help to improve the quality of teaching in Nepalese schools,” said Baral.
