Visiting Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Rajendra Chhetri paid a courtesy call on high ranking officials United Nations Headquarter New York. COAS General Chhetri is currently visiting United States.

According to a press release issued by Directorate of Public Relations Nepal Army, COAS General Chhetri met Department of Political Affairs (DPA) Under Secretary General, Jeffrey Feltman, Department of Field Support (DFS) Under Secretary General, Atul Khare, Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) Assistant Secretary General (ASG) and Dmitry Titov.

 Similarly, COAS General Chhetri also met Chief De Cabinet Edmond Mulet and Deputy Military Advisor Maj General Adrain Foster. During his visit to UN Headquarter COAS General Cheri also met Nepal’s Permanent Representative to UN Durga Prasad Bhattara.

During his meeting, COAS General Chhetri discussed the matter of mutual interest and role of Nepal Army in UN Peacekeeping operations.
