Japan Platform (JPF) and Japan Asian Association and Japan Asian Friendship Society (JAFS) hand over earthquake resistance structure house for the earthquake victims.
With the support extended by the Japan Platform (JPF) in collaboration with Japan Asian Association and Japan Asian Friendship Society (JAFS) and people of Japan, twenty earthquake resistance house were handed over to the local people of Bhotshipa VDC of Sindhuplachok District,
According to a press release issued by Japanese Embassy, the houses were provided to the most misfortunate victims of April 25, 2015 requiring shelter for the poor souls who were desperately in need of shelter from the brutal effects of the weather and as per the demand of villagers. “This certainly gives immense pleasure and happiness in beginning a small step for creating a better human life,” said the press release.
Suported by Japan Platform (JPF) and Japan Asian Association and Japan Asian Friendship Society (JAFS), the resident of Bhotosipa VDC Ward no 8 of Dandagaun village of Sindhupalchok district.
JAFS is a non-governmental organization involved with international co-operational work and networking. Since 1979 JAFS main activity has been in providing wells to Asian countries where the scarcity of drinking water has been causing many issues and problems in the rural areas. JAFS today has local chapters in 68 areas of 18 Asian countries including India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Nepal, Philippines, Bangladesh and etc. JAFS is also involved with fostering voluntary organizations to promote international exchange programs such as work camps, the Asian International Network Seminar, and Asia Youth Summit, and strives to develop global competencies of other cultures within Japan.
