The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal is organizing "Korea Culture Day- taste Korea" on (sat) 25th June 2016 at Army Officers' Club Bhadrakali Kathmandu. The Quiz on Korea with ten million Won prize, K-Pop Festival and Food Festival programs are scheduled to begin from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

“This event provides an opportunity to enhance and understand Korean Culture and further expand Korean Wave in Nepal with the chance of experiencing Korean Culture in Nepal. The registration process of "Quiz on Korea" (with ten million won prize) will begin at9am. On the same day, the final round of the Quiz on Korea will be held in Korea,” said a press release issued by Embassy of Republic of Korea.

The famous singer Sabin Rai will perform in the K-Pop Festival that begins at 12:00 to 14:00 with the latest K-Pop song and dance performance. This event will be broadcast live around the world through KBS WORLD Channel.

The food festival begins at2:00 to 4:00pm and every one can test various Korean recipes such as, Kimchi dumplings, mixed noodles, rice inside seaweed, pan cake, Jaeyuk Bokkum and rice cake etc only at Rs. 100 per recipe.

The highlight of the event is mixing of Bibimbab (mixed rice) in a large bowl  by the chief guest the  Onsari Gharti Magar Speaker of the Legislature Parliament along with other dignitaries. The Bibimbab will be distributed to 200 visitors free of cost.

It is believed that such programs organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea will enhance the friendly relations between Korea and Nepal through exchanges of culture and also strengthen and deepen the relations between the of our two countries.
