Nepal Army and US Army Launched Joint Training

Nepal Army U.S. Army launched the joint Training Balance Nail 16-3014 at Mahabir Gan Chhauni. Nepal Army specially trained Mahabir Battalion Ranger and U.S Army’s ODA 1233, C Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) will take part in the joint training. It will be concluded following performing several rounds.

The one month training will be conducted in various training centers including High Altitude Training Academy Jomsom Kaisang area. During the training, both the army will be taught the issues like Human Rights and Law of War, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), High Altitude Medicine, Mission Planning, Basic Mountaineering Skills (Rock, Level III), Advance Mountaineering Skills (Rock, Level II), High and Low Angle Rescue Techniques, Alpine Movement, Ice Climbing, Ice Anchors, Crevasse Rescue, Avalanche Search and Rescue, Improvised Helicopter Landing Zone and Drop Zone Marking For Resupply, Civil Military Operation (CMO), Mediation, Key Leader Engagements, Negotiation, Assessments and Field Training Exercise (FTX).

According to a press release issued by Nepal Army, Nepal Army and U.S. Army’s Special Force has been conducting this type of training since long time. U.S. Army’s personal has already arrived with necessary equipments.

“This kind of joint training and exercises will enhance the capability of Nepalese Army and equip them with practical and theoretical knowledge. This kind of training also helps to enhance the existing friendly relations between the two armies,” said a press release.
