Minister of Home Affairs Shakti Bahadur Basnet Launches a program Prahari Mero Sathi (Police My Friend) amid a function. Launched with an aim of the program is to improve the image of Nepal Police strengthening the relations with the people.

Unveiling the logo of the program, home minister Basnet said that this is the good beginning to make Nepal Police as a friend of Nepalese people. Along with inaugurating the program, Home minister Basnet also distributed the cash and award to two police personal who rescued 13 people in Ri of Dhading districts from the landslides. Police Head constable Rudra Bahadur Kumal and Constable Sandip Kumal took 13 people to safe place last week.

Chie of Nepal Police IGP Upendra Kant Aryal admitted that Nepal Police is unable to fulfill aspiration of the people. After launching of this program, all community related program launched by Nepal Police will come under this.

Nepal Police has started community Police program long time back. This program also aims to expand the police network in the community.
