Nepalese Army and U.S. Army joint training Balance Nail launched. From Nepal Mahabir Battalion Ranger and ODA 1223, B Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) are taking part in the training.
The training will be concluded after completing various rounds. The training will be last for two months in Mahabir Battalion Headquarter Chauni, Jungle Warfare College Amlekhgunj and Pokhara areas.
During the training Human Rights and Law of Land Warfare, Jungle Tracking/Counter Tracking, Jungle Survival, Jungle Night Operations, Jungle Communications/Antennas, Helicopter Landing Zone (HLZ) setup, Cache emplacement/recovery,Personnel Grouping/ Identifying, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) in a Jungle environment and in a Mountain environment, Special Reconnaissance/Stalking/Camouflage, Defensive Combat Marksmanship (CMMS), Military Crisis Action Planning (HA/DR MDMP), Small Unit Tactics, High Altitude Mountaineering and a Culmination Exercise (CULEX) will be taught.
Accoding to a press release issued by Nepal Army, Nepal Army and special forces of U.S Army have been jointly conducting this kind of training. This kinds of training between two countries will help to improve the capability of Nepalese Army.
