Ambassador Teplitz noted Nepal’s commitment to democracy and commended the peaceful transition of government under the new Constitution.

“The United States is committed to a continued partnership with the people and government of Nepal, in order to build a more democratic, prosperous, and stable nation,” said Ambassador Teplitz.

According to  press release issued by U.S. Embassy in Nepal, during their meeting, she also encouraged the new government to continue with the important tasks of constitutional implementation, reconstruction, and economic development.
