A six-member delegation of China Study Center-Nepal led by its Acting Chairman Sundar Nath Bhattarai left for Beijing. The CSC delegation is on a visit to China at the invitation of China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC), CSC's counterpart organization in China.
The bilateral exchange of visit constitutes a part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between CSC-Nepal and CAIFC in 1999. The objective of the visit of the delegation is to increase understanding and learning about new developments in China and exchanging views in the areas of mutual interests, challenges to and prospects of enhanced connectivity in the contexts of One Belt One Road development framework and external political scenario.
According to a press release issued by China Study Center, the multi-disciplinary CSC delegation consists of Prof. Dr. Upendra Gautam, secretary general of CSC and its advisors and members Prof. Krishna Pokharel, Prof. Jagat Upadhyay, Rajan Subedi and Rudra Sharma Phual.
The delegation, besides a seminar with the CAIFC, is scheduled to have meetings and dialogue with China Association of International Understanding, China Reform Forum, Institute of the World Economics and Politics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and government and party officials.
The delegation is scheduled to return on Saturday the 19th of November 2016.
