Indian Aids to School Building in Kailali

India provides financial help for construction of two Schools in Kailali district. Keshab Prasad Bimali LDO, Kailali and Khagendra Bahadur Gharti Magar, Principal, Saraswati Secondary School and Gyanveer Singh, Second Secretary in the Embassy of India, signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) for construction of the school building for Shree Saraswati Secondary School, Tikapur in Kailali district.

Similarly, another tripartite MoU was signed among for Regional Police Secondary School in Dhangadhi of Kailali district. Both the projects would be executed with the total financial assistance of NRs 75.41 million under its Small Development Program Scheme as part of India–Nepal Economic Cooperation Program.

According to the Memoranda of Understanding, the District Development Committee, Kailali would prepare a work schedule, invite tenders for the construction of the project in 15 months and get the project completed in time. A monitoring committee comprising School Management Committee, District Development Committee and Education Officer of Kailali district would monitor the project and regularly submit the progress report to the Embassy of India, Kathmandu which shall release the funds accordingly.
