Vishwa Hindi Diwas Celebrated

Indian Embassy organized a one-day Seminar on the occasion of World Hindi Day (Vishwa Hindi Diwas).  Minister for Supplies, Government of Nepal Deepak Bohara was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The message of Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi was read out on the occasion of Vishwa Hindi Diwas.

 Deepak Bohara, Minister for Supplies, Government of Nepal emphasized on the role of Hindi in strengthening the cultural ties between India and Nepal.  “Hindi unites India and Nepal together,” said Minister Bohara. 

Speaking on the occasion Vinay Kumar, Deputy Chief of Mission, highlighted the role of Hindi in preserving the Indian culture and its instrumentality in connecting different cultures and societies. 

He stressed on how Hindi was a common binding factor between the people of the two nations. The program saw speeches on significance of Hindi language by Dr. Usha Thakur, Dr Ganga Prasad Akela, Dr. Ram Dayal Rakesh & Dr Shweta Deepti. Artists of Theatre Village Group enthralled the audience with their cultural performance. In the last session, a Kavi Sammelan (poetry recitation) was organized wherein around 15 poets recited their compositions. 

Around 250 persons from different walks of life attended the programme including Hindi writers, journalists and officials of the Embassy.
