Indian Railways Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu arrived to participate in Nepal Infrastructure Summit 2017which is being organized during February 19 and 20 2017. Organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) in association with the Government of Nepal (GON) and Youth Community for Nepalese Contractors (YCNC), there will held discussions on infrastructure development.
Indian minister Prabhu was invited as the Guest of Honor and a key note speaker at the opening ceremony of the Summit. Minister Prabhu was welcomed by CNI President Hari Bhakta Sharma, Joint secretary of Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport (MOPIT) Bishnu Om Bade Shrestha, representatives of private sectors Ambassador of India to Nepal this afternoon.
CNI president Sharma was of the view that his three-day visit will be a very good opportunity for sharing ideas and experiences of Indian model of infrastructure development where involvement of private sector has become one of the key drivers in accelerating steady rate of economic growth.
Highlighting the role of infrastructure development for economic prosperity minister Prabhu opined the Infra Summit being organized by CNI would be pivotal for accelerating economic growth of Nepal which is striving for graduating itself to the status of developing nation.
