Money does not mean a great. What makes a man great is his contribution to the cause of society, faith and religion. Led by Forbes Billionaire Binod Chaudhary, Chaudhary Group’s philanthropic arm Chaudhary Foundation has built mammoth Hindu temples Shashwat Dham at a model spiritual center.
At the genesis of Shashwat Dham is a blessing from Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati to the Founder of Chaudhary Group Late Lunkaran Das Chaudhary, who wished to open a Shiv Temple and Sanskrit Gurukul in order to spread the message of spiritual positivity among the people. Through the establishment of the Dham, Binod Chaudhary, the President of Chaudhary Group and Founding Trustee of Shashwat Dham, has fulfilled the dream of his father.
After the inauguration on March 7 by President Bidya Bhandari, the temple is now symbol of the western Nepal close to birthplace of Siddhartha Gautam and near the spiritual place Devghat, confluence of Kali Gandaki and Trishuli.
Chaudhary Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Chaudhary Group, has completed building Shashwat Dham, a center of excellence for spiritual learning in the sacred land of Nepal, and is set to open it to the public next month. The temple will be open to visitors from next month.
Along with president, former King Gyanendra also attended the inaugural ceremony and performed puja at the temple. This is the second time president Bhandary and former King Gyanendra were together in the public function.
Renowned spiritual masters from India Jagadguru Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati of Kanchee Kamakothi Peetham and Founder of Art of Living International Sri Sri Ravi Shankar were also there as special guests amongst other spiritual leaders.
Consecration of the spiritual marvel of Nepal, Ekambareshwara – The Shiva Temple, which is heart of the Shashwat Dham, will take place simultaneously. “Built in recognition of the public affection toward the oriental spiritual heritage, Shashwat Dham is a destination for all to attain spiritual strength, get exposed to the eternal knowledge passed over generations through saints and sages of ancient times, and experience the inner human nature of love and joy,” said Nirvana Chaudhary, CEO of Chaudhary Foundation and Managing Director of Chaudhary Group.
Spread over verdant 12 acres land amidst scenic backdrops of Devchuli and Barchuli hills of Nawalparasi district in central Nepal, Shashwat Dham houses Ekambareshwor—The Shiva Temple—built with the world famous Khajuraho-style of architecture.
The temple is surrounded by a pond where holy waters from famous shrines such as Badri, Kedar, Haridwar, Muktinath, and Pashupatinath are poured. Apart from the Temple, the Dham has a Vaidik Karmakanda Gurukul, Sri Sri Center for Meditation and Yogic Sciences, heritage store, organic pure vegetarian restaurant, manuscript resource center, museum, spiritual souvenir store, and organic farm among others.
