An eight member visiting delegation from Yunnan Province of China, led by He Zukun, President of Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, paid a visit to China Study Center, Nepal.

The delegation was comprise of Prof. Ma Jun, Director General of International Regional Cooperation Office of Yunnan Province, and Prof. Chen Lijun , President of  the Institiute of  South Asian Studies of Yunnan, among others.

Sundar Nath Bhattarai, Acting Chairman of China Study Center, welcoming the delegation appreciated the role played by Yunnan in fostering relations between the People's Republic of China and countries of Asia, particularly South Asia including Nepal. Its contribution on the promotion of Trans-Himalayan Connectivity and promotion of Trade and Commerce through organizations of  Asian exhibition  in a regular manner has played a very contributing role in the strengthening of relations  between China and  its neighboring countries.

Bhattarai , appraised  the  member of  delegation of the activities of China Study Center which it has been carrying out since its establishment in 1999  in compliance with its objective of ameliorating relation between Nepal and China through organizations of various interactions , seminars and workshops, exchange of visits and publication of journals and periodicals and translation of celebrated Chinese books into Nepali which included a book, ' Xi Jinping: The Governance of China' which was recently released by The President of Nepal amidst a ceremony.

President He Zukun thanked Mr. Bhattarai and other members of the center for receiving them and expressed appreciation on behalf of Yunnan Province and Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences for the contribution made by China Study Center which is an well known think-tank working for promotion of Nepal- China relations.

He expressed that the cooperation between China Study Center and the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences could be strengthen in concrete areas of joint  research  and exchange of experts and academia and other areas on which China can abundantly help. He said that efforts will be made to abreast the China Study Center in a regular manner on its works of research on China and South Asian countries with possible participation of Nepalese scholars for joint research works.
