Himalaya Airlines strengthens its position in Middle-East by direct Dubai flights

Continuing to strengthen its network in the Middle-East region, Himalaya Airlines, Nepal’s fast growing premium carrier, is honored to successfully launch its first direct service between Kathmandu and Dubai today with 100% flight load.

The inaugural flight departed from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu at 10:40 hours (Local Time) and touched down at (DWC) Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport at 13:25 hours (Local Time).

His Excellency Saeed Hamdan Al Naqbi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Nepal jointly inaugurated the ceremony along with government officials and H9 officials.

“The launch of direct flights to Dubai is an important development for Himalaya Airlines. We anticipate high demand for the route, providing a further boost to inbound/ outbound tourist traffic from Middle East region.” said Mr. Vijay Shrestha, Vice President- Administration. “Operating a non-stop service between Kathmandu and Dubai has been in our vision for some time and we are delighted to have it achieved, strengthening our operation network in UAE.”

With the launch of 3 flights per week, every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the airline will operate its one of the three Airbus 320-214 on the route, offering 8 Business class and 150 Economy class seats for travellers on a regular basis. The airline is offering irresistible fares to our valuable passengers.

The airline has appointed Fishtail Travel and Tourism LLC, Dubai as its General Sales Agents (GSA) for passenger in United Arab of Emirates, who will be responsible for the airline’s sales and marketing, market development, reservations and ticketing services representing the airline in Dubai.

Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal- China joint venture, is fast growing private airlines of Nepal. Established in August 2014, Himalaya Airlines is a full service premium carrier. The airline started its first scheduled flight operations from May 31, 2016 flying directly to Doha, Qatar. The carrier received its first new Airbus on March 9, 2016, second Airbus on January 31, 2017 and third new airbus on March 31, 2017. Over the coming five years, the airline has a target of acquiring 15 aircrafts to connect Kathmandu with various new destinations in Asia and beyond. The Airlines will also introduce long haul wide body aircraft of A330 family in due course of time for the operation of direct flights to Japan, Korea, Europe, Australia, and America.

Himalaya Airlines’ in-flight entertainment system offers passengers with latest blockbusters movies, music, TV shows and documentaries. Passengers flying in Himalaya Airlines flights can also spend their quality time reading  through the in-flight magazine – Danfe.
