Himalaya Airlines Increases Flight Frequency To Doha, Qatar

Himalaya Airlines, in response to the growing demand for Doha sector, announced that effective August 3, 201, there will be an addition of two flights per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Doha, Qatar and effective from September 2, 2017 onwards four flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Himalaya Airlines, in response to the growing demand for Doha sector, announced that effective August 3, 201, there will be an addition of two flights per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays to Doha, Qatar and effective from September 2, 2017 onwards four flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. According to a press release issued by the Himalayan Airlines, Himalaya Airlines will operate 9 scheduled passenger flights weekly in the month of August and 11 scheduled passenger flights weekly from the month of September.

The additional flights will continue until October 28, departing from Kathmandu at 1015 hours, arriving in Doha at 1215 hours (local time) the same day whereas the return flights will depart Doha in the afternoon at 1315 hours, arriving in Kathmandu the same day at 2050 hours (local time).

Emphasizing on airline’s commitment to serve the fellow countrymen better especially during the upcoming Dashain and Tihar festival season, Vijay Shrestha, Vice President – Administration of Himalaya Airlines, commented,“having completed our one year of scheduled flight operations on Doha sector, we are encouraged to add more flights on this sector with its ever growing potential. And with the festive season coming closer, we are delighted to offer our passengers with more options and flexibility in their travel plans so that they can spend more festive time together with their families.”

Established in August 2014, Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal China Joint Venture, is an international private airline of Nepal. Himalaya Airlines, full service premium carrier, aims to excel in safety, operational reliability, performance and most importantly in service to its customers.

The airline started its first scheduled flight operations from May 31, 2016 flying directly to Doha, Qatar with 100% load factor. Presently, the airline is also operating its direct flights to Kuala Lumpur, Yangon (resuming from 15 Sep), and Dubai (resuming from 1 Sep).  The airlines plan to add a number of exciting new destinations to its growing network within 2017, including Dammam, Dhaka, Hong Kong and Bangkok in upcoming few months. Additionally the airlines plan to focus on China connectivity by adding up Beijing and Chengdu to its destination network and eventually to other cities like Lhasa, Kunming and Guangzhou, flying the passengers on board its new aircrafts.

The Airline currently has 3 Airbus 320-214 series of narrow-body aircrafts in its fleet with two seat configurations that can respectively hold 8 & 150 passengers in its Business and Economy seats. Over the coming five years, the airline has a target of acquiring 15 aircrafts to connect Kathmandu with various new destinations in Asia and beyond. The Airlines will also introduce long haul wide body aircraft of A330 family in due course of time for the operation of direct flights to Japan, Korea, Europe, Australia, and America.

Himalaya Airlines’ in-flight entertainment system offers passengers with latest blockbusters movies, music, TV shows and documentaries. Passengers flying in Himalaya Airlines flights can also spend their quality time reading through the in-flight magazine – Danfe.
