IME Bank Ltd provided Rs. 6.5 million to Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief
Fund to support the recent flood victims across terai region of Nepal. Chairman
of Global IME Bank Ltd Chandra Prasad Dhakal handed over a cheque to Prime Minister
Sher Bahadur Deuba at Prime Minister’s residence Baluwatar.
The money includes 5.1 million by the bank and remaining 1.4 million by bank’s employees’ contributions equivalent to one day’s salary. During the program Chief Executive Officer Anil Gyawali and senior Deputy CEO Jank Sharma Poudel and other were also present.
Chairman Dhakal said that bank has been providing support at the time of national crisis like natural disasters under its corporate social responsibility.”This is part of our support the people and we will continue to provide such support in future as well,” said Dhakal. The death toll reaches over 135 in recent floods and landslides.
