Nepal Is Priority Country of KOICA

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has organized a workshop on KOICA Volunteers Program for its partner organizations.

 

According to a press release issued by KOICA, the workshop aimed to review and evaluate KOICA's volunteer program with sharing and exchanging the best practices and creative ideas to improve volunteer program in Nepal among volunteer partner organizations. About 40 participants from different parts of the country participated in the program, it said.

 

Tek Bahadur Khatri, an Undersecretary of the Minister of Finance, appreciated the transformation of South Korea from one of the poorest nations to a developed nation. He appreciated the South Korean contribution in the socio-economic development of Nepal.

 

Addressing the program, Dr. Hyungkyoo Kim, country director of KOICA-Nepal, emphasized the importance of cooperation from recipient organization in order to strengthen the KOICA program in Nepal. He said that Nepal is one of the priority countries for KOICA.
