Former King Gyanedra has said that he is ready to take responsibility and leadership for the country if people want. Responding to the media persons during Bhai Tika, former King Gyanendra made a comment that the country seems to have no leader.

Former King said that as a citizen of Nepal, it is natural to have worries and concern on the state of affairs of Nepal claiming that that the time has come for him to take leadership role. For this, there need to have wishes of all.

Former King Gyanendra also said that some quarters may interpret my statement as a statement for active political life. “This is not an issue whether I want active or not, I think this is the requirement of the country and demand of the time,” said former King Gyanendra.

He said that today is the day to spare time with the family and urged people to listen to him seriously.
