The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu celebrates the inclusion of the historic 7th March 1971 Speech by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as part of the world's documentary heritage of the UNESCO Memory of the World International Register.
The Embassy organized a celebratory rally and a discussion program to mark the occasion. The Embassy also organized screening of historic 7th March Speech by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
According to a press release issued by Embassy of Bangladesh, some eminent expatriate Bangladesh nationals and Nepali dignitaries participated in the lively discussion on the significance of 7th March Speech by the Father of the Nation and its inclusion in UNESCO Memory of the World International Register.
Mashfee Binte Shams, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, summed up their discussion and reiterated that the historic 7th March speech by the Father of the Nation will continue to enthrall our people and will continue to inspire succeeding generations to attain a happy and prosperous ‘Sonar Bangla’ which was dreamed by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The program was widely attended by a large number of expatriate Bangladesh nationals and Nepali dignitaries, including civil society representatives, think tank members, media representatives, members from Nepal-Bangladesh friendship society, Nepal-Bangladesh Chambers of commerce and so on. The UNESCO representative in Nepal also attended the program.
