Vice President Nanda Bahadur attended Pakistan Day Reception as a chief guest on 23^rd March. The reception was attended by diplomats, Nepalese dignitaries, senior Government officials, prominent political leaders, Pakistani community members, and academicians, members of think tanks, businessmen, bankers, senior media representatives and members of civil society.

According to a press release issued by the Embassy of Pakistan, on the eve of 78th National Day of Pakistan, Flag hoisting ceremony was held at Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu on 23rd March 2018. Dr. Mazhar Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan hoisted the national flag. On the occasion special messages of President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were also read. Officials of the Embassy, Pakistani community in Kathmandu and representatives of media participated in the ceremony.

Pakistan Embassy also organized a special musical night to celebrate Pakistan’s national day in which renowned Pakistani Singer Sara Raza Khan mesmerized the audience.
