Nepal Airlines Corporations Managing Director Sugat Ratna Kansakar gave away awards to various travel agencies for their outstanding performance in the fiscal year 2016-2017.

NAC also facilitated its Amid the Agency Award 2018 held in Kathmandu, NAC recognized altogether 33 travel agencies, cargo sales agents (GSAs) and passenger service agents (PSAs).

Under the passenger sales category, NAC awarded PS Travel Point Tours, Mohit  Travels and Tours and Elite Holidays. Likewise, Unique Freight International and World Freight International and World Freight International were named the top two agents under the cargo sales category.

Under the passenger sales categories, GM Tour and Travel Co. Global Co and Lalit Mandap Travel Co, Sunrise Travel, Himalayan Tours, Namaste Tours and Travel and Tours were conferred the awards by NAC for their outstanding performance.

Similarly, Bird Travels, Fahd Travels, Ajman National Travel Agency, Beijing Long way International Travel Service Co, Altayyar Travel and Tourism and Cargo Service, Overseas Travel Service Ltd and Union Travel Co were named the top general sales agents of fiscal year 2016/017.

Addressing the program, Managing Director Kansakar said that NAC has improved its performance drastically and it has revived its image with all the flights on time. He also said that Nepal needs to have strong national flag carrier to bring more tourist in home.

MD Kansakar also said that NAC will start flight to Europe, Japan and South Korea following induction of two wide body aircrafts.

Secretary of Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation Krishna Devkota said  NAC’s role will be vital to bring two million tourists to the country.
