Chief of Army Staff General Purna Chandra Thapa conferred the rank of insignia of Lieutenant General to Major General Gaurab Tandul amid a function at Nepal Army headquarter. Lieutenant General Tandul has been promoted under a cabinet decision of April 24 from major General.
He is given a responsibility of chief of General Staff.
