With the implementation of flood recovery program, including shelter, livelihood and protection, Lutheran World Federation-Nepal (LWF) has shown how to heal the wounds of poor and marginalized people living in the southern flood prone plains. Since the flood badly shook the southern plains in July and August, LWF-Nepal has been working with the people of Jhapa, Morang, Chitwan, Sarlahi and Kaliai, five badly hit terai districts. LWF-Nepal has implemented the program with a room for response to recovery implementing various projects following core humanitarian standards on quality and accountability. The program launched by LWF-Nepal has helped bring back the life of flood victims to normal just in a span of eight months

Let us hope Oli succeeds in persuading the concerned in Indian to expedite work in a meaningful way on the much delayed Pancheswor (Mahakali) project and hopefully finds India serious in completing Arun 111 hydro project (costing 1.4 billion dollar) in the stipulated time of 5 years because friends of India here would like to believe that their neighbor on the south delivers what it promises, maintaining a timeline.
