Although vehicles were plying on the BP Highway for the last few years, the road construction completed only recently.

BP Highway that connects the Capital to east Nepal with a shorter distance and time has come into full operation since the last week.

The construction had begun 17 years ago with a financial assistance of Government of Japan.

The Highway, going from Dhulikhel of Kavre to Bardibas of Mahottari, is 156-kilometres long. Though the construction completed recently, vehicles were plying on the road for the last few years.
