A four-member team led by Chief of the Defense Staff General of British Armed Forces Sir Nicholas Houghton arrived in Kathmandu today.

General Houghton called on Chief of Army Staff of Nepal Army Gaurav Shumsher Rana. He is expected to call on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav later today.

The team is in six-day Nepal visit to attend various functions to mark 200 years of recruitment of Nepali Gurkhas in British Army, a press statement issued by the Nepal Army reads.
