British Minister of State for Asia Hugo Swire looks forward to working with the new Nepalese Prime Minister and Government of Nepal.

Minister of State for Asia, Hugo Swire, said: “On behalf of the British Government, I send my congratulations to Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli on his election as Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

According to a press release issued by British Embassy, the United Kingdom and Nepal share 200 years of friendship and we will remain a steadfast partner for Nepal as it continues to rebuild following the devastating earthquake on 25 April. I look forward to working with Oli and the new government.”
