COAS General Rajendra Chhetri and U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Aliana B.Taplitz jointly inaugurated Kabindra Mandam, central Training Center at Biredra Shanti Karya (Peace Work) Training Center in Panchkhal.
According to a press release issued by Nepal Army the center was built with support from Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI).During the inauguration ceremony, COAS General Chhetri, U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Taplitz and Brig Gen Bill Seymour, Deputy Director of International Operations and Engagement, US PACOM (DJ3-IO3) also highlighted the importance of the center.
The center was named after late Col. Late Kabindra Jung Thapa, who died in UN Congo Mission saving Nepalese peacekeepers from rebel’s attack. COAS General Thapa thanked American government supporting to construct peace training center to contribute in peace.
U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Taplitz expressed happiness to support the center for promotion of peace.
In the same program U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Aliana B.Taplitz handed over a key of Kabindra Complex to COAS General Rajendra Chhetri for Full Training Capability Recognition.
