Indian Ambassador Rae Laid Wrath

To commemorate the death anniversary of Begum Hazrat Mahal, Indian Ambassador Ranjit attended wreath laying ceremony of Begum Hazrat Mahal on 7th April 2016 at Jame Masjid, Kathmandu.

To commemorate the death anniversary of Begum Hazrat Mahal, Indian Ambassador Ranjit attended wreath laying ceremony of Begum Hazrat Mahal on 7th April 2016 at Jame Masjid, Kathmandu.

According to a press release issued by Indian Embassy, Begum Hazart was one of the earliest female freedom fighter of who fought first Indian war of independence of India.

Organized by Indian Embassy and B.P. Koirala India Nepal Foundation, Indian ambassador Rae laid wreath at the tomb of Begum Hazrat Mahal. During the program large number of Nepalese Muslim community were present. Ambassador Rae spoke about the contribution of Begum in freedom struggle of India.
